I am a matured family man visiting New Zealand to undergo Teacher Education Refresh programme (21st January 2025 to 4th April 2025) in the University of Auckland. The tuition fee is funded by NZ Education Ministry to enable me get registered as a secondary school science teacher. I lived in Australia for over 4 and half years from September 2016 to December 2020 doing my PhD. I went back to Australia in August 2023 and returned back to Bhutan on September 2025. I will be staying in same place till February end and then I may have to relocate to a place nearby a school for teaching practicum in for the March month. If I can secure a school nearby by my place then I will stay till my training completes. I am looking for a modest room and shared cooking facility for myself to cook my own meals. I will be in the house for almost all my days since I will be attending online classes except for the first three days.
I would like to share here that I have been already granted the visitor visa-occupational registration already and therefore looking for a reasonable room within 15km from the University of Auckland City campus.
