Kia ora (hello!)
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our historic home in Ōnehunga, Auckland.
We’re a couple in our early 30s, living with our small terrier (very cute and cuddly!) and hosting international students. At any one time, we host a maximum of two students. We love cooking and take pride in keeping a clean, tidy home.
We both work full time (8am–5:30pm), so we provide dinner, and you’ll make your own breakfast and lunch — basic ingredients are provided.
We have two sunny, fully furnished bedrooms available. Each room includes a bed, a desk for your studies, and shelves for your clothes. You’ll share one large bathroom and an additional separate toilet.
The shared spaces include two lounges, a modern kitchen, and a spacious garden to relax in. The house is cleaned regularly, and we ask that everyone tidies up after themselves, including doing their own dishes and laundry.
Our place is just a 2-minute walk to the bus stop, with a direct bus or train to the University of Auckland’s Grafton Campus (about 40 minutes) or to the central city (around 50 minutes). It’s an easy and convenient commute.
We live close to the waterfront, where you can enjoy native birds and plants, or walk up the nearby mountain for amazing views over Auckland. There are also lots of great cafés, eateries, and shops on nearby Ōnehunga Mall.
We’re happy to offer airport pick-up and drop-off, and we love helping students settle in — whether it’s showing you around the neighborhood or offering tips for exploring the city.
Rent includes linens and towels, unlimited free Wi-Fi, and a warm, friendly environment. We like to keep things respectful for everyone in the household and neighbours, with quiet hours after 9:00pm to help keep things peaceful.
