We are a friendly family living in a modern 5 bedroom home in the very quiet and safe suburb of Stonefields. You will share the main bathroom upstairs with 1 other, plus there's a separate toilet downstairs (the master bedroom has an ensuite).

We have welcomed several International students over the years and have enjoyed their company very much.

We have a very friendly and considerate 30 yr old male flatting with us. Our two boys are studying at Otago Uni in Dunedin (and are only home during the hols), so including our new flatmate there will be four in the house most of the year.

The Room:
Large bedroom available with a fairly new and very comfortable queen-size bed. Linen and dresser (desk and chair), heater or fan etc provided. The house is fully furnished, but we are more than happy to look at any furniture/bedding requirement you may have as we want you to be happy here.

There are several bus stops in Stonefields (one less than 70 meters away), all are within easy and safe walking distance of less than 5 mins.

Bus route 747 and 70 or 75 bring you into the City Centre and drop you off in front of the City Campus of Auckland University. The distance between Stonefields and Auckland CBD is 10 km by road, 15 mins by car, 30 mins travelling by bus (it can be up to 50 mins in peak hour traffic). Rail into the City from Glenn Innes is 10 mins away and takes you directly into Britomart and the Central City, with a short walk to Uni.

The weekly fee of $270 covers all expenses; effectively, it's $240 rent per wk plus $30 wk for everything else incl; water, power and gas, sky tv/net flix, laundry powder, all cleaning, lawns/gardens, and unlimited ultra-fast fibre-max internet. You will need to purchase and prepare your meals.

Unfortunately, we are unable to cater for school age children as we both work full time and as much as we would like to, we simply don't have the time for school drop-offs and pick-ups, after school activities etc. We are happy to help you settle into your new home with us and help organise daily transport to your new learning Institution/University.

Sorry, but no pets, smokers or couples. There's on-street parking right outside the front door.

We are experienced and comfortable with hosting Students (17 yrs and older) and as much as our homestay has their own busy lives, we do like you to feel welcome and part of the family (if you need anything, just ask) – we have no problem with helping you learn English.

All inclusive board of $270 per week payable one week in advance please. We greatly appreciate 4 weeks notice prior to moving out.
