We are a friendly family of four (our eldest son is at Otago Uni and is only home in the hols) living in the very quiet, peaceful and safe suburb of Stonefields. Our youngest son is also off to Otago Uni early next year, so including our new flatmate there will be four in the house.

We have welcomed several International students over the years and have enjoyed their company very much.

We have a very friendly and considerate 30 yr old male boarder living with us from Scotland, currently employed as an Operations Manager.

This is a modern five-bedroom home in the heart of Stonefields, with an ensuite in the master bedroom and one main shared bathroom upstairs (between 2-3), plus a separate toilet downstairs.

Large queen size bedroom available with a fairly new and very comfortable queen-sized bed. Linen and dresser (desk and chair if reqd), heater or fan etc provided. The house is fully furnished, but we are more than happy to look at any furniture/bedding requirement you may have as we want you to be happy here.

There are several bus stops in Stonefields (one less than 100 meters away), all are within easy and safe walking distance of less than 5 mins.

Bus route 747 and 70 or 75 bring you into the City Centre and drop you off in front of the City Campus of Auckland University. The distance between Stonefields and Auckland CBD is 12 km by road, 35 mins travelling by bus (up to 60 mins in peak traffic). Rail into the City from Glenn Innes is 10 mins away and takes you directly into Britomart and the Central City, with a short walk to Uni.

The weekly fee covers all expenses incl; rent, water, power and gas, sky tv/net flix, laundry powder, cleaning, lawns, gardens, and unlimited ultra-fast fibre-max internet. You will need to purchase and prepare your meals.

Unfortunately, we are unable to cater for school age children as we both work full time and as much as we would like to, we simply don't have the time for school drop-offs and pick-ups, after school activities etc. We are happy to help you settle into your new home with us and help organise daily transport to your new learning Institution/University.

Sorry, but no pets, smokers or couples. There's on-street parking right outside the front door.

We are experienced and comfortable with hosting Students (17 yrs and older) and as much as our homestay has their own busy lives, we do like you to feel welcome and part of the family (if you need anything, just ask) – we have no problem with helping you learn English.

Board is $295 per week payable one week in advance. We greatly appreciate 4 weeks notice prior to moving out.
